Assessment and Commissioning of Electrical Substation Grid Testbed with a Real-Time Simulator and Protective Relays/Power Meters in the Loop

Electrical utility substations are wired with intelligent electronic devices (IEDs), such as protective relays, power meters, and communication switches. Substation engineers commission these IEDs to assess the appropriate measurements for monitoring, control, system protection, applications. Like real electrical substations, complex substation grid testbeds (ESGTs) need be assessed measuring current voltage signals in control (synchro check), applications that limited by small-measurement percentage errors. In process of setting an ESGT real-time simulators loop, must commissioned before running experiments. this study, distributed ledger technology was developed. The a simulator loop satisfactorily commissioned. commissioning problem-solving tasks testbed described define method flowcharts possible troubleshooting ESGTs. This based on comparing simulations versus IED phase magnitudes, three-phase phasor diagrams, breaker states, relay times selectivity coordination at faults, data points, time-stamp sources.
